Evesham flooded again
Heavy showers and torrential rain have brought serious flooding to many parts of Britain this summer. This time it was the turn of the south Midlands and, in particular, Evesham. A day of torrential rain on Friday caused the usually sedate River Avon and many of its tributaries to burst their banks. The flooding earlier in the year (March) paled into insignificance, as the river poured into our ground floor garage, and left us stranded on the first floor.
