Mayumi made a two-week long visit to Japan at the end of November. She managed to spend a few days with her mother and brother Kenji in Fukui. She also caught up with a few old friends in Nagoya, including Zumi Takagi and Jim Goater (pictured). She was also able to spend a bit of time with her husband when he wsn't in the pulpit or classroom.
This trip was all made possible by the magnificent Ben, who settled in quickly and almost effortlessly to his new college in Stoke-on-Trent, content to see and talk to his faraway parents a couple of times via Skype and, of course, his sister Mary-Jane who was on stand-by in Evesham in case of problems.
Note: The pulpit is not the name of a bar in Nagoya.
